Preferred bidder for Indian highway
The State of Karnataka has appointed India-based IRB Infrastructure to design, build, finance, operate and transfer a toll road in the country’s south.
The project will see the construction of a four-lane highway from the Goa/Karnataka border to the Kundapur section of NH-17, encompassing nearly 200km throughout Karnataka state.
Under a 28-year concession period, the construction period is set for 910 days at an approximate value of $430m.
One of India’s largest private developers, IRB Infrastructure is an integrated infrastructure development and construction company, and its experience in toll roads and highways proved the catalyst for selection, it was reported.
