Puerto Rico prison selects four

Four consortia were shortlisted for the procurement of Yauco’s new juvenile detention centre, Puerto Rico's first social infrastructure P3.
The four remaining consortia are:
- Alianza Renacer
- Balfour Beatty Capital
- NBC Yauco
- P3R Plenary Properties Puerto Rico
The four were selected after the country’s PPP Authority received requests for qualifications from 11 companies competing to design, construct, finance and maintain of the new facility back in May, interested in competing in the competitive procurement process.
Known as the "New Beginning," the juvenile facility will aim to aid offenders through education, rehabilitation and social re-insertion.
The deal should be completed by year-end according to the authority.
