French school PPP signs

A contract has been signed for the construction, maintenance and financing of the Lagevin school scheme in France.
Fayat and Pitch Promotion will deliver 18 classes, including eight kindergartens, 10 elementary and two school integration classes, as well as educational and technical facilities, recreation areas, catering areas and green spaces over 4,500 sq m of floor space.The €12.4m contract was signed with the City of Evry and forms part of a larger investment plan launched by the commune of Essonne to renovate or build over 14 schools.
Repairs and maintenance will be provided by Dalkia France for a period of 20 years. Construction will be performed by the subsidiary of Fayat, Carl, in conjunction with the design team Ginger-Séchaud Bossuyt and funding was provided by the Caisse d'Epargne Ile-de-France.
The project will be completed by September 2013.
