RFQ for Georgia’s Northwest Corridor

8 June 2012 Bidders are being invited to register their interest in the I-75/575 Northwest Corridor P3 in the US, after Georgia’s transport department issued a request for qualifications.
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking interested parties to design, build and finance the 29.7-mile stretch of road.

Among the planned improvements will be the addition of reversible managed lanes, and extending the existing high occupancy vehicle lanes northward along I-75 and I-575.

Under the terms of the deal, GDOT will retain responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the toll road.

In May, State Transportation Board Chairman Rudy Bowen gave the go-ahead to the project following a review.

The deadline for interested parties to submit their requests is 19 July, with GDOT scheduled to announce its shortlist on 16 August.
