Canada mulls electric car PPP

A request for information (RFI) has been issued for electric car charging stations in Ontario, Canada.
The province is seeking to kickstart development and investment in the electric vehicle industry and expand the availability of charging stations across Ontario. Information gathered through the RFI process will help identify opportunities to partner with the private sector to build, test and expand it.
Infrastructure Ontario is managing the RFI process on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation. RFI submissions will not be evaluated as part of any potential future procurement and the deadline for interested respondents is 4 June.
Ontario has set a goal of having 5% of all new cars electric by 2020.
