Bidders shortlisted for Aruba highway

19 April 2012 Three teams have been shortlisted for Aruba’s first PPP – its US$100m Green Corridor highway project.

The government of Aruba has shortlisted three candidates to participate in the dialogue phase of the tender procedure:

  • Colombia’s Grupo Odinsa
  • MNO Vervat Aruba, Janssen de Jong Caribbean and Macquarie Capital
  • Vergel Y Castellanos, Colombia

The Government of Aruba has since opened a dataroom containing project documentation on the PPP Green Corridor project to the three selected bidders. They will now enter into a series of competitive dialogue meetings.

The original schedule of the tender procedure was delayed for three months as one of the other candidates went to court to challenge the Contracting Authority's evaluation.

The bidders will now have until September 2012 to deliver a bid.

Evaluation of tender and selection of the preferred bidder is expected September 2012 and Aruba's Minister of Integration, Infrastructure and Environment plans to sign the design, build, finance and maintain agreement with the winner by the end of the year.
