Partner selected for Nigerian road

10 April 2012 A preferred bidder has been appointed for the build of a new ring-road in Oyo state through PPP.

Indian-based firm DSC was awarded the deal to construct a 108km circular road in the Ibadam metropolis this week by the Oyo state government.

State governor Abiola Ajimobi said that the road would be implemented in three phases: the first phase will run from Akilapa on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to Egbeda; the second phase will run from Egbeda to Akinyele Onimalu; and the third phase will provide the stretch from Akinyele Onimalu to Apata and back to Akilapa.

The ring-road is expected to be operational within the next 18 months
