Alstom snaps up Dexia head

Dexia’s former head of global project finance Patrick Blanchard has joined French infrastructure group Alstom.
Blanchard has been appointed to the position of deputy senior vice president on Alstom’s project and export finance team. He will report to François Salvini, senior vice president for project and export finance, said an Alstom spokesperson.
"He will play a key role in our efforts to leverage on project and export Finance as a means to support our business development," she added.
Blanchard joins Alstom having spent his career to date in the banking sector in a number of international institutions. Most recently he spent 10 years with Dexia where he was executive vice president for global project finance.
