Our client is a large and successful organisation specialising in security and support services employing over 10,000 people. With a diverse client base across the public and private sectors, our client is looking to further strengthen their Private Finance Initiative (PFI) business development/bid team to assist in the development of the organisation. As a result, they are looking to recruit a highly accomplished and professional Bid Manager with a particular knowledge of PFI contracts.
Reporting to the Business Development Director - PFI, you will be responsible for managing the process, leading the development of pre-qualification submissions and bid proposals. You will work directly with customers i.e. Police, Prison and Court Services, communicating and developing the products and services allowing the client to deliver their services more effectively and efficiently. You will lead and participate in the development of bids and tenders, ensuring that the solutions demonstrate innovation, are competitive and remain focused on the customers’ requirements. A strong relationship builder, you will liaise and maintain close contact with clients highlighting their ability to deliver services more efficiently through the private sector.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong commercial acumen with excellent face to face and telephone communication skills. You will be financially astute and be able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance and be skilled at writing quotations and proposals. Your ideal background would come from the security sector with an excellent knowledge of bidding for hard and soft services within a PFI/PPP environment.
