WINNING BIDS IN TURKEY: INSIDE EUROPE'S FASTEST GROWING PPP MARKET

 Turkey’s PPP market is building to be one of the most exciting in Europe with a raft of deals coming to market. Healthcare projects are progressing thick and fast and the Turkish Ministry of Health is planning US$5bn of PPPs over the next five years. The big-ticket transport schemes, such as the €7bn Gebze-Izmir toll road and a package involving the privatisation of the country's road network, are also proving popular with both domestic and international players.  

But Turkey’s PPP market is not without its obstacles and issues in the political and legal environment could slow procurement. Are the deals and pipeline being structured in an attractive way and will Turkey live up to its potential?
