Politicians have urged the government to clarify its commitment to the £45bn schools building programme fearing the credit crunch could threaten its survival.
The Children, Schools and Families parliamentary committee says PFI projects delivered under the BSF programme could be badly hit by the crunch with investors less willing to shell out for projects and possible central government funding cuts.
